Introduction

Reference is made to the Company’s announcements dated 28 December 2017 and 9 July 2018 in relation to the appointment of its associate company, HSS Integrated Sdn Bhd ("HSSI") as the Consultant to provide Supervising Consultancy Services for Infrastructure Works for the East Coast Rail Link (“ECRL”) from KM0 to KM231.5 of the ECRL (“Contract”) and immediate suspension of the Contract respectively.

Resumption of Services 

The Company wishes to announce that HSSI has received a letter from China Communications Construction (ECRL) Sdn Bhd (“Client”) dated 30 April 2019 instructing HSSI to resume its services under the Contract.

Due to the shift in the alignment of the ECRL, there will be a revision of HSSI’s scope of services and fees.

Financial Effects

The resumption of the Contract is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the Company. However, the Company will only be able to assess the actual financial effects upon finalisation of HSSI’s scope of services and fees.

Risk Factors

The Board of Directors does not envisage any specific risk to be associated with the resumption of the Contract.

Directors’ and/or major shareholders’ interests

None of the Directors and/ or Major Shareholders of the Company and persons connected to them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Contract.

The Company will make further announcements in relation to any material developments concerning the Contract.
